Harry & Eddie’s
Restaurateur Brian Goewey has an eye for style and his newest venue — a beautifully restored 1920s theatre building in Hinsdale, previously occupied by CiNe Modern Taqueria — offers an especially distinctive dining ambiance.
Located at 29 E. 1st St., (630 590-9047), Harry & Eddie’s is inspired by the glamorous days of The Great Gatsby — a light, open space that seats 180 and spotlights many of the theatre’s original architectural features. Chef Mike Bomberger delivers modern American fare at its best, with premium ingredients elegantly executed into dishes that include burgers, lamb chops, seafood, salad and inventive bowls and sandwiches.
While the indoor delights of a bar wrapped in Carrara marble, vintage chandeliers, and a baby grand piano on the restaurant floor may transport you back in time, the outdoor patio hidden in a secluded alley brings modern European flair. It’s the perfect spot to sample from a boutique list of wines and pre-Prohibition craft cocktails, not to mention a house-made dessert of Kahlúa fudge brownie.
Harry & Eddie’s is the newest in Goewey’s growing BG Hospitality Group, which includes five other eateries in the west suburbs — Livia in Geneva and Elmhurst, Gia Mia in Wheaton and Geneva, and Fire + Wine in Glen Ellyn.Edit Module
