Flavorful fast-casual Asian cuisine in Lombard
Fast-casual and flavorful Asian fare on-the-go is the MO of Teriyaki Madness, conveniently located midway between Oak Brook and Yorktown shopping centers at 795 E. Butterfield Rd. in Lombard (630 468-2707).
This is the first Illinois location of the Seattle-based restaurant group, newly opened by long-time area residents, Nik and Rita Patel.
Fresh, healthful ingredients fill large satisfying bowls. A base of Yakisoba noodles or steamed white, brown or fried rice is mounded over with all-natural marinated chicken, steak, salmon or tofu, then supplemented with crisp stir-fried vegetables.
Everything is made to order in customizable bowls — as light and healthy or as ample and varied as the customer chooses. Specialties include Orange Chicken Teriyaki and Spicy Teriyaki. There’s a selection of snack-worthy appetizers, too, like Japanese edamame (crispy soybeans on the pod), chicken potstickers or crab rangoons. Salads, sides and a selection of mild-to-spicy sauces round out the menu.
With styling borrowed from Chipotle, the counter service is simple, fast and friendly, with self-seating in a bright, fun atmosphere.Edit Module
