Craft beers paired with made-from-scratch dishes is a winning combination at City Works. Located in a sprawling space at 1850 E. Golf Rd. in Schaumburg (847 584-2500), this busy, contemporary eatery and pour house features an indoor/outdoor bar, a bocce court and jumbo HDTVs. There’s seating for 158, a private event space for 50 more and a spacious seasonal patio.
The kitchen, helmed by Executive Chef James Jung, serves bold, bright plates loaded with fresh ingredients. Sharable options include a flavor-packed kung pau cauliflower, smoked chicken wings and duck nachos. Also offered is an elevated version of sliders featuring filet mignon, caramelized onions and house-made horseradish cream inside an oven-fresh pretzel roll.
The signature burger is made with a short rib/brisket blend, topped with aged white cheddar on a briôche bun. Chef-driven seafood options include a Red Grouper with rosemary garlic cannellini bean purée, grilled caulilini, oven-roasted tomatoes and English pea coulis. The Ahi Tuna Chopped Salad is another market-fresh choice, as are items on the varied vegetarian and vegan menu.Edit Module
