Altiro Latin Fusion
In March, downtown Geneva introduced a new member to its colorful restaurant community. Altiro Latin Fusion, 308 Anderson Blvd. (630 232-7717), offers Latin cuisine, tapas style — in smaller dishes meant to be shared, served one after another. The restaurant’s distinctive menu is inspired by the best of Spanish, Mexican and Peruvian cuisine, and in keeping wth the locavore trend, seeks to use ingredients from local farms to maximize freshness.
The lunch and dinner menus feature a range of meat and fish dishes, to which a variety of egg and breakfast items are added for brunch. Co-owner Miguel Villanueva, who has been working in the restaurant business for over 10 years, credits much of Altiro Latin Fusion’s success to his chefs, who are also his partners, for creating the entire menu from scratch.
Since its opening, Altiro has received a favorable response from the local dining crowd. “We enjoy meeting new people,” says Villanueva, “and want everyone who dines here to have a great experience.”Edit Module
