The Pivot Room
Give upscale fast-casual a whirl at WhirlyBall in Naperville
Crave-worthy dishes and a rotating roster of craft beers are the name of game at The Pivot Room, a soon-to-be-opened full-service restaurant inside WhirlyBall at 3101 Odyssey Ct. in Naperville (630 932-4800).
The spacious 75-seat dining room is where guests can gather and relax. The menu, created by Chef Larry Donahue, who has devised inspired dishes for Weber Grill and Lettuce Entertain You restaurants, centers on using quality, seasonal ingredients for bold plates with local flavor. The Brick Chicken, for instance, is a herbed boneless half-chicken, served with fingerling lyonnaise potatoes, grilled asparagus, roasted cherry tomatoes, capers and a white wine garlic chicken jus. The Pivot Burger features smoked gouda, bourbon grilled onions and bacon jam. There’s a short rib dish braised in stout gravy, and a plate of crispy chicken served with buttermilk waffles and maple syrup. Salads are sized as entrées and are packed with fresh fare — bibb lettuce, radicchio, arugula, endive, heirloom tomatoes, baby carrots, radish and other seasonal favorites.
Shareables are big here, too, including handheld sandwiches and roasted veggie pizzas made from home-made dough — all good choices for the outdoor patio and terrace on warm sunny days.Edit Module
