Wood-Fired Pizza on the "Piazza" of Naperville's Riverwalk
MidiCi, newly opened at a prime location along Naperville's Riverwalk at 135 Water St. (630 445-8054), aims to bring friends together over authentic Neapolitan pizza.
Owners Valerie and Eddie Insignares invite a comparison to Italy, where diners gather at restaurants on the piazza. "In Naperville, you can see people all along the Riverwalk, enjoying the connection to nature," says Valerie who goes on to describe a live black olive tree growing inside and the coffee plants on the patio.
The owners take pride in offering a pizza that features premium-quality, all-natural ingredients. The non-GMO dough, for instance, is made in-house each day.
Diners can choose from a selection of signature Neapolitan pizzas or create one with custom toppings, all baked in a wood-fired oven.
For those who prefer other Italian favorites, the menu offers a selection of small plates and salads, including artisan burrata with melon and prosciutto, and a purple kale and ricotta salad.
A full bar serves an extensive collection of craft beers, cocktails and wines, while a coffee counter offers specialty espressos, lattes and a variety of teas.Edit Module
